From the letter to a decision
Five steps. You know where you are in each of them.
- 01
Step 1: You send us the letter
The denial or the offer, and the policy if you have it. A short note on what happened is enough.
- 02
Step 2: A lawyer reads the policy
Page by page, the exclusions and their exceptions, against the damage you describe.
- 03
Step 3: We say what we see
Whether the denial looks wrong, what it might be worth, and what each next step costs you in time.
- 04
Step 4: We write to the insurer
In your name and ours, with the evidence attached and a date to answer by.
- 05
Step 5: Reinspection, appraisal or suit
Most claims move at one of the first two. When one does not, we tell you the odds as we see them and you decide.
Keep everything, even what seems small
The claims that move fastest are the ones with paper behind them. Keep what the insurer sends and what you send, and note the date on anything you say by phone.
We will give you a short list at the first call. Until then, do not throw out damaged materials unless the damage is a health risk.
Keep
Letters, emails and texts
Photographs with dates
Receipts and estimates
Names of everyone you speak to

Begin with the letter
That is the first step, and the only one you need to take today.
We charge no fee unless we recover more than the insurer had offered. The firm advances case costs, such as an engineer's report, and is repaid from a recovery. If there is none, you owe neither the fee nor the costs.
